The Leadership of the Caribbean Association of Fire Chiefs (CAFC) has held the goal of publishing a professional technical magazine that will support the development and unification of the Caribbean First Responders while creating a common understanding of emergency response and the technical industries that support it. With the creation and delivery of the Caribbean region’s first professional journal focused on the CAFC’s intent, the Caribbean First Responder Magazine (CFR) has succeeded in meeting these goals. In fact it has gone beyond our initial vision and extended our objectives to create a platform for First Responders from all international regions to draw from lessons learned by the CAFC and to offer their experiences for our mutual benefit. To achieve our mission, the CFR Magazine is poised to address First Responder topics for Fire, EMS and Rescue and bring each of these specialties together in combined strategies for success. Additionally the CAFC recognizes its responsibility for preparing and responding to all hazards Caribbean wide, as well as our responsibility for reaching senior governmental leaders and administrators of our region to keep them fully apprised of the resource that we collectively represent. The Caribbean First Responder is the lead publication designed to advance first responders based in the Caribbean and promote those who strive for excellence. This publication is delivered as a traditional print magazine, an online edition and is available in a high quality downloadable format. |
