Joining the Caribbean Association of Fire Chiefs (CAFC)

The Caribbean Association of Fire Chiefs (CAFC)  is an organization established for anyone involved in Fire – Rescue, EMS, or Disaster Preparedness. Though focused on Caribbean nations, membership is not limited to residents of the Caribbean region. As a membership funded organization all CAFC dues are denominated in USD.

Membership dues paid before April 1 of the membership year receive a 10% discount. Membership dues paid before June1 of the membership year are discounted 5%. These discounts can be modified or canceled without notice.

$1,500 - National Membership status is available through the country’s highest ranking fire officer and provides member benefits to Fire Chiefs, Fire Commissioners, Fire Marshals, Chief Officers with 2-5 crossed trumpets within that member country.  This membership is available as a $1,500 annual subscription.

Membership benefits includes:

• 25% discount on annual conference fees for two attendees
• 3 Secure access accounts to the Fire Chiefs ONLY Business & Social Network
• 2 Official copies of the CAFC annual report
• 1 Copy of the CAFC annual photo book
• 1 Vote at the CAFC business meeting
• 3 CAFC annual lapel pins
• 3 CAFC web based email accounts
• 250 CAFC Business cards
• Able to run for leadership office (after 1 year of paid membership with committee participation, and participation at CAFC Conference)
• Able to give input to regional policy initiatives
• Eligible for national hosting of the CAFC annual conference (after 2 years of paid membership with committee participation)

$1,000 - Divisional Membership is open to departments that serve a population of 50,000 or less. The entire department can join for the price of an annual subscription fee.  This membership is only available in cases where a national membership is not current.

• Able to run for leadership office (after 2 years of paid membership with committee participation)

• Eligible for national hosting of the CAFC  annual conference (after 2 years of paid membership with committee participation)

$500 – Fire Chief (Advisor) Membership is open to Fire Chief Officers and Deputy Fire Chief Officers not residing within the Caribbean who seek to support the CAFC in its effort to better develop unified training, policy and strategy.

$1,000 – Compatriot Membership is open to organizations who seek to support the CAFC in its effort to better develop unified training, policy and strategy.

• 1 Official copies of the CAFC annual report
• 1 Copy of the CAFC annual photo book

$250 – Associate Membership is open to junior fire chief officers, EMT leads and Rescue Chiefs.

• CAFC meeting minutes
• Able to give input to regional policy initiatives

$15 – Defender Membership is open to firefighters and EMTs.

Membership benefits includes:

• 20% discount on annual conference fees
• 10% discount on 1 copy of the CAFC annual photo book
• 1 CAFC Channel annual lapel pin
• Able to give input to serve on committees
• Able to participate in CAFC competitions

ExOfficio Membership is open to past presidents and vice-presidents who have served the CAFC.
